ʼһ Clinical Immunodiagnostic and Research Laboratory (CIRL)

The CIRL provides a comprehensive panel of diagnostic services using state-of-the-art flow cytometric instrumentation and the latest scientific discoveries to provide innovative methods in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of immunologic, hematologic, and oncologic disease states.

The Clinical Immunodiagnostic and Research Laboratory (CIRL) plays an integral role in facilitating the rapid translation of scientific observations into clinical applications. The genesis of novel diagnostics originates from collaborative efforts with the Division of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology.

With a strong product development group and access to additional expertise available from cutting-edge scientific investigations at the ʼһ, the Clinical Immunodiagnostic and Research Laboratory is adept to deliver high quality diagnostic services.

CIRL Forms

*Our laboratory does not bill third parties (e.g. insurance companies). The referring laboratory is responsible for obtaining payment from third parties. Our laboratory bills directly to referring laboratory for payment; therefore, please provide complete institutional billing information within the Institution Contact section on the "Test Requisition Form".

Hours of Operation

The laboratory is regularly staffed Monday through Friday. For weekend and holiday availability, a call service is available for medically emergency services. To use this service, the on-call pager number is (414) 907-3644.

To ensure the quality of test results, specimens are to arrive in the Clinical Immunodiagnostic and Research Laboratory (CIRL) within 24 hours of being collected. We recommend the use of Federal Express - First Priority Overnight.

For these highly specialized services, the laboratory strongly advices to be contacted in advance with the name of courier and the tracking number. The referring laboratory sending specimens to CIRL is responsible for Airbill charges.

Specimen Delivery Route and Address

Shipments are to be delivered to the ʼһ Loading Dock. The loading dock is located off of Watertown Plank Rd. between 87th and 92nd Streets by use of access road.
