Governor Evers Declares April Alcohol Awareness Month in Wisconsin

Excessive alcohol consumption, which includes binge drinking, heavy drinking, underage drinking, and drinking during pregnancy is a serious public health and safety concern in Wisconsin. In fact, the percentage of adults in Wisconsin who regularly consume alcohol and the percentage of adults who binge drink is higher than in most other states. Consuming alcohol, and binge drinking, specifically, can have a negative impact on health and increase the risk of developing certain diseases and cancers. This information has led Gov. Evers to declare the month of April as Alcohol Awareness Month in Wisconsin.
