CPR Training and Early Intervention
CPR training is a vital part of healthcare. Damar Hamlin, Bills football player, was struck in the chest and required CPR on the field. Dr. Ben Weston, Milwaukee County’s Chief Health Policy Advisor, states “There are some cases where people get hit in the chest, and if you’re hit at the exact right time during a certain point in your heartbeat it can cause your heart to stop.” Early intervention in these cases is key. He urges everyone to know CPR and use a defibrillator if accessible.
