Biography
Dr. Pearson graduated from Wheaton College and received his MD and PhD degrees from Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He then completed an NIH-sponsored post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Physiology at Mayo Clinic, followed by his general surgery residency at the Virginia Mason Clinic in Seattle. He returned to the Mayo Clinic for his cardiothoracic surgery training. Dr. Pearson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and the American College of Chest Physicians. He has dedicated the majority of his career to clinical trial participation and device development, largely in the field of cardiac valve replacement and repair.
