Biography

Research Interests

We study neural ensembles that contribute to drug-seeking behaviors and addiction. Using our transgenic mouse model, we are able to identify neurons that are active at different time points in which the drug seeking events take place. Drugs of abuse can be triggered under certain cues to elicit drug craving, and we seek to elucidate the neurons that contribute to the active pursuit of obtaining drugs during self-administration contexts.
