Biography

I completed my undergraduate studies at Carthage College in 2021 with various research experiences including: visual science, stress, and PTSD research under the mentorship of Dr. Arryn Robbins, Dr. Nora Nickels, and Dr. Daniel Miller respectively. As a first generation undergraduate -now graduate- student, I have always been deeply involved in the outreach and mentorship of those who are the first in their family to venture into higher education.

Research Interests

My current focus in the Link lab is to investigate retinal cellular responses when an oxidative stress regulator, Nrf2, is knocked out in zebrafish. In addition, I am exploring mechanisms and functions in age-related neuronal homeostatic factors.
