Research Interests

My research interest is focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms involved in the pathobiology of cardiovascular disease. During my PhD, I studied the antihypertensive and cardioprotective potential of compounds and explored the mechanisms by which they produce vasorelaxation and restoration of diseased conditions in rodent models of hypertension. For my postdoctoral work, I am studying the regulatory mechanisms involved in the heart regeneration.
