Research Associate I

Biography

I received my dual master’s degree from Oklahoma State University (OSU) in 2019. My research focus was a continuation of my previous master’s project at UPAEP (a university in Mexico), where we found a specific cluster of non-coding RNAs (small nucleolar RNAs) overexpressed in saliva samples from children suffering acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I developed a proof-of-concept to detect the differential expression of small nucleolar RNAs and two viruses associated with ALL in silico. After graduation, I became a Research Technician in Dr. Zhao’s lab at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, where I worked with mice models to understand the different processes and functions of innate-like T cells. In 2022, I joined Dr. Radhakrishnan’s lab at MCW, and my current project involves generate phage display library and chimeric antigen receptors T cells (CAR T cells).
